Trustees
Dormansland Memorial Hall is run by a team of dedicated Trustees, all from and around the parish of Dormansland Village. If you would like to know more, scroll down to meet them...
Nicola O’Riordan
I am a teaching assistant at a local Primary school and have previously held
roles in Finance and Event Management. I’ve lived in Dormansland for
fifteen years and feel very strongly about the village I’ve chosen to call
home, raise my child and made amazing memories. I want to do all I can to
protect our village asset that is the Memorial Hall.
Tracey Morris
I’ve lived in Dormansland for 13 years with my family. I am a residential
conveyancer in a busy legal practice and have lots of experience of working
with contracts and planning. I would like to use my experience to bring
about a hall that is fit for the whole community for years to come.
Sarah Comber
I have lived in Dormansland for fifteen years and feel extremely lucky to
bring up my family in such a wonderful community. I am a private PA to a
local businessman and want to use my strong organisational skills and my
passion for our community to bring the Hall back to being at the heart of
our village.
Philip Davy
I have lived in Dormansland with my family for twenty years and have spent
26 years in regular and reserve service with the British Army. I run my own
plumbing and heating business and was one of the team running the
Village Farm Shop during the first lockdown. I want to use my energy and
skills to bring about a hall for the whole community to enjoy.
John ‘Bertie’ Nichols
My family donated the land upon which the Memorial Hall was built over
a hundred years ago. I have a keen interest in the future of the Hall and
want to bring about a sustainable and inclusive Hall for use by the present
and future residents of Dormansland.
Lindsey Bell
I have lived in the village for eight years. I’m a university lecturer in Law and
former Whitehall civil servant. I’ve been involved in running several clubs
and community projects, most recently the Village Farm Shop. I also have
experience in governance and organisational accountability, which I want to
use to bring about a Hall for All.
David Birchall
I have lived in the village with my family for over 15 years. I am a
corporate lawyer, was part of the Farm Shop team, and have over thirty
years experience as a Trustee, including a successful multi-million pound
development of a youth club. I know from experience how essential a
Team of All Talents is to deliver a Hall for All.
